Cory Petry

Certified Arborist KY-0639A

Cory founded Limbwalker Tree Service, Inc. in 2005. He graduated from DuPont Manual High School. Cory has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Kentucky and is a Certified Arborist. Besides trees, Cory’s interests include sustainable agriculture, competing in tree climbing competitions, music, and spending time with his family.






Chris O’Bryan

Certified Arborist KY-0374

Chris joined Limbwalker Tree Service, Inc. as a full partner in 2006. Chris graduated from Dupont Manual High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from the University of Kentucky, and a Masters degree in Forest Resources from Clemson University. Chris has been a Certified Arborist for ten years and is a five-time Kentucky tree climbing champion. He is a published author in the “Journal of Arboriculture and Urban Forestry: “Economic Patterns in US Arboriculture”.




Jeff Richmer

Certified Arborist KY-0683A

Jeff began working part-time with Limbwalker in 2005 while he was the manager of Dropseed Native Plant Nursery. He joined as a full time team member in 2006. Jeff has an Associates Degree in Horticulture from Vincennes University and later obtained his Arborist Certification. Jeff’s interests include native ecology and rain gardens.






Tim “TJ” Powell

Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (CTSP)

TJ started working with Limbwalker in 2007. Graduating at the top of his class with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Clemson University, he has since become a Certified Arborist. TJ formerly worked as the head arborist for Charlotte Country Club in North Carolina, and was featured in Golfdom magazine. TJ’s hobbies include caring for his two dogs, watching movies, and cycling.





Rick Denbeau

Rick joined the Limbwalker team in the summer of 2008, after leaving a well respected Pittsburgh firm. Rick is the Safety Coordinator at Limbwalker, sharing both his CTSP credentials and his reputation throughout the industry as a safe and productive arborist. Rick holds a Bachelor of Arts in US History from the University of Pittsburgh. Rick also occasionally works with North American Training Solutions and is a contract rope splicer for Anchor Bridge Rope Works. Rick was the Kentucky tree climbing champion in 2008, 2009, and 2010. His hobbies include cycling, reading, and tree climbing competitions.




Gary Murphy

Certified Arborist KY-0699A

Gary came to Limbwalker in early 2008, after leaving a local arborist firm where he headed the Plant Health Care program. Gary graduated from Valley High School in 1984 and went on to attend the US Army’s Chemical School and earn a degree from Kentucky College of Technology. In his time away from trees, Gary enjoys spending time with his family.



Stephan Zimmerman

Stephan joined Limbwalker in January 2011. He graduated from Paul Smith’s College with an Associate Degree in Urban Tree Management in 1999. Stephan began working with trees in 1995, and became a  Certified Arborist in 2000. While living and working in Charlotte, NC, he was on the board of the Charlotte Arborists Association from 2001 -2010, and became that organization’s President from 2007-2010. When he is not talking about trees, he enjoys spending time with his wife Carmen and son Climber Maximillion.


Greg Lopatosky

Certified Arborist KY-0755A

Greg started with Limbwalker in the summer of 2008 and has since become a Certified Arborist.  He is a graduate of Waterbury State Technical College. He is a former computer programmer, gymnastics coach and judge, and has been a licensed massage therapist for twenty years.






Jenny Karem

Jenny became the bookkeeper for Limbwalker in the Spring of 2010. She was one of Cory and Chris’s earliest clients, even before Limbwalker was incorporated. Jenny graduated from Eastern High School and later got her B.A. in Biology from the University of Louisville. Currently, she is studying accounting and she also works from home to manage the books for her husband’s carpentry business. Jenny’s favorite pastime is to work in the garden. She also enjoys fishing, reading, and attending live music performances.





TeddiTeddi Broadwater

Teddi became the Receptionist for Limbwalker in March of 2011, coming from the Radiology Department of Baptist Hospital East. Prior to that, she was the Receptionist for Sud-Chemie Inc, in Louisville KY. Married for 32 years to her husband, David, she has raised four sons, homeschooled for 11 years, volunteered with the Boy Scouts and at her church. She also found time to take over 15 Adult Education classes offered by JCPS where she enjoyed everything from accounting to tai chi! She enjoys reading, biking, walking, and doing family history research.







Greg Cushing

Greg is a graduate of Trinity High School, and started working for Limbwalker in the fall of 2008. Initially training with our ground crews, Greg has taken quickly to climbing and has established himself as one of Limbwalker’s aspiring arborist’s. Greg competed in the Kentucky tree climbing competition for the first time in 2009, and was the highest scoring first time competitor. Greg’s interests include playing music, watching quality movies, and reading.






Jason Raisor

Jason started with Limbwalker in the Summer of 2009, but is a longtime friend. He started his work in the tree care industry over 10 years ago, and has experience with several local arborist firms. Jason graduated from Ballard High School in 1996. Clients having stumps removed can expect to meet this big man with a perpetually sunny disposition. Jason’s hobbies include riding and working on motorcycles, caring for his reptiles, and spending time with friends and family.






Don Ovens

Don started with Limbwalker in early 2009 after previously being a client. A graduate of State University of New York at Oswego, Don’s previous experience was as a theatrical electrician and rigger. Don’s attention to detail and abilities with small engines earned him the position of Chainsaw and Small Tools Supervisor, and his knowledge of ropes from years of Scouting helped Don fit into our crew seamlessly. Don’s hobbies include renovating his Highlands home and tending his flock of backyard chickens.
