Air8® is a service that we invented! Now it is used all around the country. Air8® improves oxygen availability to your tree’s root zone by mixing compost into the root zone. The end result looks like a mulch ring around your tree. We recommend a Deep Root Fertilizer program following Air8®.
BLS is common in red oaks, elms, and American sycamores, and is evident in the late summer. There is no known cure for this disease, but we can extend your tree’s life. Our annual treatment targets the bacterial pathogen that causes the disease, as well as the insect vectors. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
These small caterpillars typically eat the leaves of junipers, cedars, pines, arborvitae, and spruce. Occasionally, they will also feed on deciduous trees. Our annual treatment is extremely effective and will keep your trees 100% bagworm-free. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
Borers attack our native dogwoods, yellow-poplars, white pines, and many others. Trees that are growing in full sun or those which have experienced storm or lawn mower damage are especially susceptible. We visit your property twice a year to give your trees solid protection against these destructive pests. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
Boxwood Blight is a new, extremely destructive, and fatal disease of boxwoods. We highly recommend mulching your boxwoods and discontinuing spray irrigation to prevent water splashing movement of the disease, as well as pre-emptive protection because of the severity and quickness of the disease. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
Cables and Braces are supplemental support systems that we use to improve the structural integrity of your tree and reduce the risk of branch or trunk failure. Our supplemental support systems are the strongest available, but they are still finite and should be inspected annually. We send out reminders each year to help remind you to schedule your free annual inspection.
Cherries, serviceberries, pears and other fruitwoods are susceptible to caterpillar damage in the spring. Our program protects your trees from harmful defoliation using systemic and trunk spray treatments. Not suitable for edible fruit. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
Pin Oaks and other trees are commonly sickened by chlorosis, a yellowing of leaves due to low levels of iron. Low chlorophyll levels directly affect available energy, making your tree more susceptible to secondary pests and infections. Treating your chlorotic tree with soluble iron is critical for improving your tree’s health and giving it the energy it needs to thrive. We often recommend Growth Regulators as a companion treatment to improve the health of your tree’s roots. This program automatically renews every three years until canceled.
We visit your property each Spring and Fall to deliver fertilizer and Bio-Tea® directly to your tree’s root zone. Our fertilizer is custom designed for trees. It includes organic nutrients, slow-release nitrogen, essential rhizosphere bacteria, macro- and micro-nutrients, and microbial nutrients. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
DED is an infamous and fatal disease of American elms. Older trees and trees which have experienced recent damage are especially susceptible. The best way to prevent your elm from contracting this disease is with a preventative injection of fungicide every two years. This program automatically renews every 2 years until canceled.
EAB is a non-native borer that is fatal for all ash trees. The only protection against this voracious borer is a preventative injection of insecticide every two years. Occasionally, we will recommend an additional insecticidal treatment during off years for trees experiencing increased pest pressure. This program automatically renews every 2 years until canceled.
Apples, hawthorns, and blue spruce are just a few of our trees that are commonly infected with foliar fungi. To protect your trees against these harmful fungi, we spray the newly emerging leaves three times in the spring with a protective coat of fungicide. Your trees will appreciate the protection and respond with increased vigor. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
Ginkgos, walnuts, and sweetgums are beautiful, but their fruit can often be difficult to tolerate. We can’t eliminate the fruit 100%, but we can achieve a significant reduction by injecting a fruit eliminator each year while your tree is blooming. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
Growth Regulators reduce vegetative growth and increase fine root growth for three years. This is perfect for large, old trees that have reached maximum size and need to focus on keeping healthy root systems. This program automatically renews every 3 years until canceled.
We use a soil-applied treatment to reduce populations of aphids, lacewings, psyllids and other harmful insects. Our Insect Protection will improve the health and vigor of your tree by ridding it of harmful parasites. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
Special trees require special protection. Especially old and tall trees are susceptible to lightning strikes. We protect your tree by installing a copper rope from the canopy to a ground rod buried 8′ into the soil. This system works by directing any lightning strike to follow the path of the copper instead of hurting your tree. We send out reminders each year to help remind you to schedule your free annual inspection.
Mite Protection is used to reduce the populations of mites on your trees or shrubs. Mites are closely related to spiders and require different treatments than insects. Our technicians rotate treatments each year for maximum effectiveness. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
Cankers are caused by several different types of bacteria, slime molds, and fungi. They can be difficult to target because they reside deep in the trunk and roots of your tree. Our special treatments are absorbed into your tree’s vascular system, creating an unfavorable environment for pathogens. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
Hollies, maples, magnolias, and oaks are commonly infested with scale- a type of insect that is fixed in place on stems and leaves. These pests can be extremely harmful to your plant or tree, as well as produce a sugary-sticky substance that damages cars and attracts other insects. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
Spruce trees in Louisville are infested with mites and foliar fungi that thin canopies and cause severe dieback in the canopy. They’re so common that we’ve created a combined service to address both problems at once. We visit your tree(s) 3 times each spring as the new growth is emerging to spray for the fungi, but we also add a miticide. Easy, affordable, and effective! This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
This service is performed 1-2 weeks after your tree removal, depending on the weather. As a courtesy to you, our office contacts BUD 811 to mark underground utilities. Once we confirm that the area is clear, our Stump Operator grinds your stump down 14” below the surface, and rakes the grindings in a pile. Some people want the grindings removed and replaced with topsoil as well. We include both options for your convenience.
Anthracnose is a common and serious disease of the American Sycamore. Left unchecked, infected trees will continue a slow decline until they eventually succumb to this wasting disease. We can reverse this downward spiral and improve the health of your tree by injecting a fungicide into the trunk every other year. This program automatically renews every 2 years until canceled.
We clean your tree’s canopy. Our climbers begin by inspecting for any structural or health concerns. We remove all of the dead, broken, and diseased limbs 3″ and larger in diameter. Limbs this size can cause significant injury to people when they fall! If you start to see large limbs on the ground when you’re mowing your lawn, it’s time to call Limbwalker. We recommend this service every 4 years.
Trees near your roof, house, and electrical lines can cause damage if the limbs are too close. We raise your tree’s outer canopy away from your roof by pruning the lowest limbs. Our objective is to create an aesthetic line that blends into the contours of your tree’s silhouette.
Sometimes limbs grow so tall or long that they are in danger of breaking. In these cases, your Consulting Arborist will recommend reducing your tree in height or width. We perform this service according to accepted industry standards, reducing limbs back to a healthy node without leaving unsightly stubs.
We’ll do our best to convince you to save your tree. That’s our job as Certified Arborists. However, if you do need to remove your tree, we can do it safely, in the most difficult locations. Our climbers remove all of the limbs and trunk down to a low stump. Stump grinding is a separate service and will be outlined in your proposal.
Our lawn program is designed to keep both your lawn and your trees healthy. Our custom fertilizer is organic, with slow-release nutrients. We do spray weeds, but we do so in a targeted way to reduce chemical use. We add our own Bio-Tea® Compost Tea to break down chemical residues, slowly release nutrients, and promote soil de-compaction. We treat insects and diseases when necessary.
You also receive our Weed-Free Guarantee*. If at any time during the season (February – November) you see weeds in your lawn, email us at email@example.com and let us know where they are. We’ll revisit your lawn at the end of the week to spray for weeds at no additional charge. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
This program is designed to keep the plants in your landscape beds happy and healthy. We visit your property each Spring and Fall to apply deep root fertilizer, Bio-Tea® Compost Tea and appropriate insect and disease treatments. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
*Does not include foliar fungicides, injections, or trunk sprays.
This program includes a Spring and Fall visit to prune your landscape bed shrubs and keep them looking their best. Since your landscape beds may contain many plants that flower at different times during the season, please let your Consulting Arborist know when you’d like us to visit your property. We can design your program to fit your needs. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
Our 6-Visit program is the most effective for controlling mosquitoes in your yard. We significantly reduce mosquitos by targeting the places they land: underside of your plants, deck, and foundation. Our technicians are trained to avoid flowers and bees, and our product is safe for children and pets.
You also receive our Mosquito-Free Guarantee*. If you see a mosquito, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll revisit your yard for free at the end of the week at no additional charge. This program automatically renews each year until canceled.
